Not entirely. Jasmine could have forgiven Zenigata for circumstances beyond his control, but instead she was put off from him by them.
Also, I love how Stefan was voiced by Rokuro Naya, Goro's younger brother.TParkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03277209600461304524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6269928732634112261.post-79626370042102668932021-07-18T09:54:57.566-07:002021-07-18T09:54:57.566-07:00In my opinion, the better one is "The Two Fac...In my opinion, the better one is "The Two Faces of Lupin". While the art is simpler, the story has Lupin developing an inner turmoil and a sense of self-doubt, as his friendship with his comrades is put to the test and a psychiatrist gaslights him. That is somewhat more interesting to me. Miyaza...'Farewell My Beloved Lupin' was OK. Miyazaki is a great animator but plotting is not his strong point.
I like how Lupin spent most of the episode disguised as Zenigata, but what was in it for him to stop this robot?
The episode would have made a good two-part episode.
I guess that since the thinks these robots would destroy the world, there would be nothing left for him to steal, and maybe he did it for his own self-preservation?
Here he seems even more heroic than in 'The Castle of Cagliostro', weakness for pretty ladies aside. At least in that one, we got to see him having a lot of fun.
The episode is kind of a dud, but at least the animation is great, and it has beautiful art.TParkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03277209600461304524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6269928732634112261.post-53316503567785272962021-07-10T09:05:29.604-07:002021-07-10T09:05:29.604-07:00Yes, some premises sound like Zenigata's half-...Yes, some premises sound like Zenigata's half-asleep mumblings when he got into that cab in Stockholm.TParkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03277209600461304524noreply@blogger.com
